1996 – Mobilizando a sociedade santista e conhecendo comunidades caiçaras

Neste ano, os estudantes de arquitetura conquistaram a oportunidade de aplicar suas ideias em um projeto real: revitalizar o Museu de Pesca de Santos, há 11 anos abandonado e em estado de ruína. Foi a primeira vez que os cinco jovens que viriam a fundar o Elos reuniram-se em um mesmo projeto. Com outros colegas de faculdade, eles formaram o Grupo Reviver que, por meio de diversas estratégias de participação, mobilizou centenas de estudantes, profissionais e cidadãos santistas na revitalização do Museu, que foi reinaugurado no ano 2000. Para os jovens, ficou marcada a mensagem de que vale a pena sonhar alto quando, juntos, eles descobriram um grande poder de realização.
 
This year, architecture students were granted the opportunity to apply their ideas to a real project: to revitalize the Santos Fishing Museum, which had been abandoned for 11 years and was falling into ruins. It was the first time that the five young people who later went on to found Elos gathered around the same project. Together with other classmates, they formed the Grupo Reviver (Revive Group). By means of various participation strategies, the group mobilized hundreds of students, professionals and citizens in Santos to revitalize the Museum, which reopened in the year 2000. By discovering that together they had great power to make things happen, those young people were left with the message that dreaming big is definitely worth it.
