A PURPOSE FOR THE WHOLE WORLD

Since 1999 when Instituto Elos was dreamed in Brazil it was imagined as an organization to cross the Brazilian borders and spread transformation throughout the world. Even though Elos’s founders were all Brazilians, they founded Elos after having intense exchange experiences with young leaders from different countries of South America. To create an organization that would “propel a movement to make the best world we can dream of, a reality now” was a dream shared by a wider group of young Latin Americans.
After 10 years Elos had reached over 20 countries, most of them in the American continent but also some African and Asian countries. In Europe the only contact was in Spain. That was when we received the visit of the Dutch young entrepreneur Niels Koldewijn in Santos, at the office of Instituto Elos in Brazil.
Niels’s desire to offer a learning opportunity on social technologies for young Dutch entrepreneurs in Brazil met our desire to share our methods and to grow our movement of transformation. This led to the first Oasis Training program that prepared a group of Dutch people to start replicating the Oasis Game in the Netherlands.
The next 10 years of this history will be told along this report. Here we just want to say thank you to Niels and all the people who believed in our purpose and made the dream of Elos Foundation possible.
